9. Storytelling
Born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, Mauricio lived with the Q'ero tribe in Perú, where he was initiated as a modern Paqo or medicine man. Later, he trained with Alberto Villoldo in the 4 Winds Society and a masters of Divinity from Harvard University. With over 15 years experience teaching and working with 1-1 clients, Mauricio will teach this class. Each week he will explore new themes, lead exercises, and dive into the tools of shamanism.
"I recently completed an 8-month course on shamanism with Mauricio, and it was an enlightening experience. Mauricio’s deep knowledge and passion for shamanism were evident in every lesson. His approach was both practical and spiritual, perfectly balancing theory with hands-on practice. The class environment was supportive and engaging, fostering a unique sense of community among us students. I have gained invaluable insights and skills that have profoundly impacted my personal and spiritual journey. I highly recommend Mauricio’s class to anyone looking to explore the depths of shamanism."
"In my healing process, I began to realize the energetic/spiritual side was calling me to go deeper to have a more wholesome approach in my own personal healing as well as when working with others. I first encountered Shamanism in a transpersonal specialization I did where Mauricio Bruce participated as one of the facilitators. Wow is the first word that comes to mind. I loved shamanic integration because I felt it was a sweeter approach while profound and simple at the same time. I realized how much faster it made my healing process. I continued to deepen my shamanic learning through Umbral de la Montana. Mauricio Bruce's School. I did both Shaman's path and later the advanced program. Through different energetic tools and coaching I was in constant orientation that encouraged me to look inwards for the answers, fostering my inner wisdom to heal myself and support others. The course also has a format that allowed me to connect and create community with other students who were in different parts of the world. I learned, felt supported, had fun, and was always eager to connect week after week during 8 months! Truly grateful."
"The Shaman’s Path is a transformative experience. As someone who had been on an inner journey for a while, this program took things to a whole new level. Starting this 8-month journey just 3 months postpartum, I had no idea how much it would impact my life. With Mau's dedication, support and practical tools, I not only tapped into a deep sense of remembrance but also went further into my inner work. Through this journey, I emerged a changed person.
Mau is a teacher who doesn't just guide but empowers. He truly hands you back your power. His guidance is potent, and this journey couldn't have come at a more perfect time in my life."
The mountains in Perú talk. There are ancient stories and myths about the spirits that live in these high places. The Apus are some of the most powerful, and the Q'ero tribe recognizes 13. Pachatusan, the mountain that holds the world, is the site to pilgrimage for healers and healing.
